IT MEANS LIFE ISN’T FAIR

(it’s a really well done foreshadow to the final boss, the Wheelman, who is a manifestation of Murphy’s guilt over being involved in the death of this nice police officer who turns out to be the father of this other girl police officer who keeps showing up and is really angry at Murphy because she knows what he did)

(he can also be seen as the erosion of Murphy’s morality from the death of his son up until now as evidenced by his broken down, basically vegetable-like state)

he keeps showing up in random spots throughout the game but Murphy falls down a mine shaft or the floor beneath him collapses at just the right second

and if you’re not seeing him in the Otherworld then there are just a ton of broken wheelchairs and now bloody wheelchair wheel stains just like EVERYWHERE in the Fog World
