okay I hate really short dresses, like the ones where if you lift your arms then everyone gets a gr8 show. (hello urban outfitters, thank you) And I don’t hate them because I think it’s lacking in classiness nor that I’m super conservative about what women should show or something stupid, I just don’t like feeling like if the slightest breeze decided to pass then oops! there’s my underwear!! or like I can’t bend down, run around, or sit comfortably without constantly wondering how much I’m revealing that I just don’t really want to be revealing to goddamn strangers. and it’s like, okay, cool, a lot of people dig them so it’s kind of what’s everywhere right now and that’s totally alright with me if you like them! I don’t think it says anything about you! But I think it sucks that finding a dress that isn’t essentially a long version of a t shirt or tank top is few and far between. and I think it sucks that I’m expected to pay the same price for a dress that’s missing half the fabric. ALL PREFERENCES ARE NOT CREATED EQUALLY clothes are stupid, end rant
I personally prefer dresses that I can run around in and not feel incredibly exposed in. Like Ashli said, if you like it then cool beans. I just don’t understand the joy in wearing something that you can’t move in.
